PROGRAMMABLE INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL (CF208)

PROGRAMMABLE INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL (CF208)

The unit is easily programmed to work on air conditioner units, where the remote control has been lost or damaged. The remote control has 208 different settings and will work on the majority of air conditioners, with a few exceptions. Take note that this remote control will not work if the actual control system is faulty. (In these cases a CFUO2C may be used).

Instructions to programme the remote

Batteries must be fitted to the remote control (2 X AAA)

The A C unit to be programmed must be switched ON.

Check through all the listed codes on the back of the remote control and packaging to see if your AC unit is listed. There may be more than one code listed.

Press the reset button if the model number on the remote control is not flashing.

When you find the correct code for the AC unit use the code select key to select this code; face the remote control at the infrared sensor on the AC unit; press enter and check to see whether the unit responds. If there is a response the unit should work correctly. If there is no response, repeat the procedure using the other available codes. Please note that the unit must be reset after each attempt.

If there is still no response it will be necessary to carry out a manual search for the correct code.

Ensure that the model number is flashing; point the remote control at the unit and go through all 208 codes using the auto button. When you reach a setting that responds press the enter button. The unit is now programmed.
